The Chasm is the first appendix, or level, in Ustwo's expansion pack for Monument Valley: Forgotten Shores.
Walkthrough[]
Part One
- Walk down the steps and go through the door.
- Down here, descend the steps and drag the moving platform over. Step on top.
- Drag it to the left and step off.
- Walk down the steps and get onto the bottom part of the moving platform.
- Drag it to the right.
- Descend all of the steps. In the middle at one point, the platform Ida is on falls down on its side.
- Walk up the side and above the door. This platform, too, will break off and slide down.
- Go down the steps.
- Try to enter the door, and the platform will begin to be swallowed by lava. Ida will run to the top.
- Totem and a path will appear. Drag Totem over so Ida can get on top of him.
- Press the button that appears.
Part Two
- Up here, move Totem so Ida can press the closest button. A platform with a gear lowers from the ceiling.
- Twist the platform so it's horizontal.
- Make Ida cross it, then climb down the ladder.
- Twist it again so it's vertical, then make Ida cross it and step on the second button.
- Drag Totem onto the platform that appears, then step off of the button so Totem rises up.
- Drag Totem onto the bridge, then turn it so he can cross.
- Put Totem on the first button.
- Enter the door revealed.
- Drag Totem onto the button revealed.
Part Three
- Keep twisting the platform until Totem lines up with the next Totem pole. Drag him onto it.
- Repeat the process until Totem is at the top.
- Make Totem press the first button.
- Ida appears. Make her climb the ladder and step on the button.
- Put Totem on the platform Ida reveals. Then make Ida step off of it so Totem rises up.
- Put Totem on the farthest button, which raises them into Part Four.
Part Four
- Make Ida climb the ladder and walk to the end of the level.
