Noor is the main character and playable protagonist in Monument Valley 3, the third installment in the series. She is an apprentice of her mentor, the two of them aiming to maintain the Lighthouse to keep those voyaging through the water safe.
Appearance[]
Noor is a faceless, pale female with dark purple hair pulled up into a ponytail. She wears a light purple dress and a pronounced, darker purple collar. After chapter five, she carries a staff with which to collect light.
Monument Valley 3[]
Noor is an apprentice under her mentor; the Lighthouse serves as a hub where she can interact with different characters. The game revolves around Noor traveling to collect light in a staff to nourish the Lighthouse— with a boat called Boatem to travel on— in the same way Sacred Geometry was created and returned in the first two games. At first, Noor and her mentor do so together; in Chapter 5, The Temple, however, the light does not behave as expected, splintering and turning red instead of returning to the staff. The Temple begins to fall apart, and Noor's mentor is left behind. Noor receives her mentor's staff, and is tasked with maintaining the lighthouse by herself.
More lights fail to enter Noor's staff and, by extension, the Lighthouse; a series of mishaps causes it to crumble, and Noor's new goal is to recover characters who had been lost at sea. At one point, she runs into the Spirit of her mentor, where she gets more advice; later, she is swallowed by a giant fish and has to get her and some other characters to safety. The next character Noor finds is the Nomad, a mysterious traveller, who had previously gifted her a flower. Together, they learn that the flower is a new source of light for the Lighthouse, and use it along with other sources of recovered light to restore the Lighthouse and the Town's citizens.
