In-game description of Forgotten Shores
Forgotten Shores is an expansion pack of eight more chapters available with Monument Valley as an in-game purchase. In this game, Totem ends up dying, but Ida recovers his pieces at the end.
Forgotten Shores is included for free with Monument Valley+ if the player has an Apple Arcade subscription.
Storyline[]
The storyline of Forgotten Shores isn't made clear. It would appear to be an extension of Monument Valley's storyline, as Ida is still working to return Sacred Geometry. During the course of the game, Totem does die, and so along with the theme of forgiveness introduced in the first game, Ida also needs to cope with loss and mourning. In Nocturne, however, Totem's pieces are recovered and put back together.
