The Crows, referred to by the game as the 'Bothersome Crow People', are characters in the puzzle game Monument Valley. They are somewhat irritating obstacles that block Ida's path, squawking in her face. She must evade them by finding ways around them, or use them to reach places she cannot.
Monument Valley[]
A long time ago, Ida was ruler of the Crows, but was fascinated by humans' Sacred Geometry and decided to steal it. Because of this Ida was cursed to turn into a human, and the colorful Crows were cursed to become bleak, colorless, and bothersome, forever walking the ruined monuments with no memory of their past selves.
In The Rookery, the crows seem to recognize Ida as their queen, gathering in rows or groups on platforms and having seemingly lit candles for her at the ending pedestal.
After Observatory, Ida has returned all Sacred Geometry. The Crows gather around her and the sky starts to glow. Beams of light descend onto the Crows, turning them back into their winged and colorful forms. After all the Crows have been returned to normal, Ida is given back her crown and old form. With Ida in the lead, the Crows fly up and leave the valley.
